SMS not being detected
- 1Check that SMS permission is granted: Android Settings → Apps → Obba → Permissions → SMS
- 2Ensure the bank sender ID is supported (check our supported banks list)
- 3Try the 'Reset Sync State' option in Obba Settings to re-read all SMS
- 4Verify the SMS is a transaction notification, not a promotional message
Wrong transaction amount or category
- 1Tap the transaction to view details
- 2Verify the original bank SMS format matches expected patterns
- 3For category issues: tap the transaction to view details and verify the assigned category
- 4Report the issue to support@obba.pro with the bank name (never send the full SMS)
Duplicate transactions appearing
- 1Obba uses SHA-256 hashing to prevent duplicates automatically
- 2If duplicates appear, they likely have slightly different SMS content from the bank
- 3Tap the transaction to view its details and check for differences in the SMS content
- 4Contact support if the issue persists
App crashes or freezes
- 1Clear app cache: Android Settings → Apps → Obba → Storage → Clear Cache
- 2Restart the app
- 3If the issue persists, try clearing app data (this deletes all transactions)
- 4Ensure your device has sufficient storage space
- 5Reinstall the app from Google Play
