SMS not being detected

  1. 1Check that SMS permission is granted: Android Settings → Apps → Obba → Permissions → SMS
  2. 2Ensure the bank sender ID is supported (check our supported banks list)
  3. 3Try the 'Reset Sync State' option in Obba Settings to re-read all SMS
  4. 4Verify the SMS is a transaction notification, not a promotional message

Wrong transaction amount or category

  1. 1Tap the transaction to view details
  2. 2Verify the original bank SMS format matches expected patterns
  3. 3For category issues: tap the transaction to view details and verify the assigned category
  4. 4Report the issue to support@obba.pro with the bank name (never send the full SMS)

Duplicate transactions appearing

  1. 1Obba uses SHA-256 hashing to prevent duplicates automatically
  2. 2If duplicates appear, they likely have slightly different SMS content from the bank
  3. 3Tap the transaction to view its details and check for differences in the SMS content
  4. 4Contact support if the issue persists

App crashes or freezes

  1. 1Clear app cache: Android Settings → Apps → Obba → Storage → Clear Cache
  2. 2Restart the app
  3. 3If the issue persists, try clearing app data (this deletes all transactions)
  4. 4Ensure your device has sufficient storage space
  5. 5Reinstall the app from Google Play
